FindLaw's LegalConnection is a targeted client-development tool that connects law firms with consumers that need help finding an attorney.

The site captures and qualifies potential looking to connect with a law firm to help them with their legal issues. Contacts are then forwarded to appropriate law firms listed with LegalConnection, and those firms decide which potential clients to contact.

CONSUMERS’ LEGALCONNECTION EXPERIENCE

Consumers reach LegalConnection via the Internet, using a search engine to reach our homepage. In addition, they can access LegalConnection directly from our Web site, LegalConnection.com, or via FindLaw.com, the world's most heavily trafficked legal portal.

Consumers access LegalConnection directly at LegalConnection.com or through links found on popular consumer Web sites, including FindLaw.com, and through Internet search engines.

FAST, EASY AND CONFIDENTIAL SUBMISSION PROCESS

The LegalConnection experience begins with potential clients following a simple, step-by-step process that quickly matches them with attorneys in their local area. Consumers begin the process by selecting the practice area for their specific legal need.

ONLINE SCREENING

Next, the consumer completes a practice-area-specific questionnaire regarding the issue at hand. More than 50 forms are available, targeting legal issues ranging from animal bites to workers' compensation.

Each form was developed by an attorney, to elicit the information you need for an initial evaluation. After a questionnaire has been submitted, LegalConnection captures, checks and cleans the consumer's information prior to sending it out.

MATCHED PROFILES

Upon submitting a questionnaire, the consumer receives a maximum of three attorney profiles matched to his or her legal need and geographic location.

Each profile provides the attorney and firm names, a photo and a description of the firm's practice. The consumer may choose to connect with one, two or all three of the firms provided simply by checking a box for each.

INFORMATIVE REVIEW

Within minutes of a consumer selecting you, a notification e-mail appears in your in-box. You can review the consumer's completed questionnaire, then choose whether to accept or decline the opportunity.

QUICK AND EASY ACCEPTANCE

Once you accept an opportunity, LegalConnection automatically sends your firm's contact information pack to the prospective client, letting him or her know you're ready to contact them to discuss the issue. The prospect's complete contact information is then provided to you, making it quick and easy for you to connect with the prospect.
